HYDERABAD: A 45-year-old daily wage labourer died after suffering an electric shock while trimming tree branches near an apartment complex in Alwal on Wednesday.
According to police, Suryanarayana, a native of Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh, was hired by members of Madhuri Residence Committee to cut tree branches in front of the apartment building. While cutting, tree branches allegedly came into contact with nearby overhead power lines, resulting in Suryanarayana’s death due to electrocution.
He is survived by his wife and three sons. Alwal police registered a case under BNS section 106 citing negligence against committee members.
