Hyderabad Police Tightens Screws On Absconding Corporator Fasiuddin
The police are collecting more details from Sardar’s family to know about the incident

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police are tightening screws on Borabanda corporator Baba Fasiuddin, who is absconding in a case registered against him for abetment of suicide of a 35-year-old businessman Mohammed Sardar at SRT Nagar early Thursday.
Even as a hunt is on to trace him, the police are collecting more details from Sardar’s family members about the factors that slipped him into depression due to harassment by Fasiuddin for the last one month.
Sardar’s younger brother Mohammed Ibrahim, in his complaint, informed the police that the former was unable to overcome the trauma after Fasiuddin with the help of town planning officials demolished the third floor of the house while carrying out renovation works. This forced him to end his life by jumping from the building, sparking tension.
Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) vice-chairman Md Faheem Qureshi, in a tweet, requested the police to take stern action against all individuals responsible for the incident.
“I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of Sardar, a resident of Borabanda, who took his own life after facing severe harassment. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this unimaginable time. No family should have to endure such grief due to the actions of those who misuse power or prey on the vulnerable.”
“We urge Hyderabad police and GHMC to take strict action against all individuals responsible for the harassment that led to this tragedy. Action must not be delayed, and such acts must not go unpunished. We stand in solidarity with the victim’s family and demand accountability, transparency, and swift justice,” he said.
A separate complaint was also lodged to the National Human Rights Commission seeking action against Fasiuddin.
