Hyderabad: The police of Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills divisions recovered and handed over a total of 67 lost or missing mobile phones to their rightful owners. The initiative reflects the department's continued commitment to public service and fostering community trust.
Under the supervision of S. Venkat Reddy, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Banjara Hills division, the recovered mobile phones were formally handed over to the complainants on Saturday. These recoveries were made possible through the dedicated efforts of local police teams using technical analysis, IMEI tracking, and diligent field investigations.
These recoveries were part of the Hyderabad police ongoing initiative to trace and return lost or stolen mobile phones by leveraging the CEIR portal, IMEI tracking technology, and coordination with telecom service providers.
Venkat Reddy commended the efforts of the investigating officers and technical staff for their dedication. He also urged the public to promptly report lost or stolen mobile phones by calling Dial 100 or by lodging complaints online through the Telangana police website or Mee Seva centers.
