Hyderabad police questions MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy for an hour

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police on Friday questioned BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy for over an hour in connection with a case registered against him for preventing Banjara Hills Inspector KM Raghavendra from discharging his duty and creating ruckus at the police station a few weeks ago.
In December 2024, Reddy went to Banjara Hills police station to lodge a complaint stating that unidentified persons were tapping his phone. When the Inspector was going out to attend his official duty after he arrived at the station, Reddy entered into a heated argument and obstructed Raghavendra from discharging his duty.
The police booked a case against Reddy and arrested him. In response to a notice issued to him, Reddy appeared before the Masab Tank police who questioned him for over an hour. Speaking to media persons after appearing before the police, Reddy alleged that the Congress government was foisting false cases against the BRS leaders for questioning the inordinate delay in implementing guarantees promised to people during the Assembly elections.
“The police arrested me like a thief even on festival day and no probe was conducted with respect to my complaint given to the police,” he said, adding that he responded to 32 questions posed by the Masab Tank police during questioning.
