Hyderabad Police Imposes Traffic Restrictions for Ganesh Idols Immersion on Tank Bund

Hyderabad: In connection with the Ganesh immersion processions, from August 29 to August 5, the Hyderabad police imposed the following traffic diversions on need basis from 3 pm till late in the night depending on traffic congestion of Ganesh idols for immersion at NTR Marg, and People’s Plaza, P.V.N.R Marg on Necklace Road.
Sailing Club ‘T’ Junction: General traffic coming from Karbala Maidan will not be allowed towards the Upper Tank Bund and will be diverted at Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda crossroads.
Public who are intending to go towards Liberty or Khairatabad may take the route via Kavadiguda crossroads, DBR Mills, Vartha lane, Swimming pool, Banda Maisamma, Dharna Chowk, Indira Park crossroads, RK Math, Kattamaisamma Junction, Dr. BR Ambedkar statue or on to Telugu Talli flyover and Iqbal Minar.
Those intending to go towards Panjagutta through Tank Bund may take the route via Ranigunj, Minster Road, Begumpet, and Panjagutta.
At VV Statue: General traffic coming from Panjagutta and Raj Bhavan to go towards NTR Marg, P.V.N.R Marg on Necklace Road will not be allowed on Khairtabad flyover and will be diverted towards Nirankari, Old Saifabad Police Station and Iqbal Minar.
At Telugu Talli junction: General traffic coming from Dr. BR Ambedkar statue will not be allowed towards NTR Marg and will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar.
At Telugu Talli flyover: The traffic coming from Iqbal Minar towards Secunderabad will not be allowed towards Tank Bund and will be diverted to Telugu Talli flyover and will go to Katta Maisamma Temple, DBR Mills, Kavadiguda crossroads.
At DBR: General traffic coming from Katta Maisamma Temple via. Dhobi Ghat will not be allowed at upper Tank Bund and will be diverted at DBR Mills towards Kavadiguda crossroads.
At Kavadiguda crossroads: General traffic coming from Musheerabad, Jabbar Complex will not be allowed towards Sailing club and will be diverted at Kavadiguda crossroads towards DBR Mills.
At Nallagutta Bridge: General traffic coming from Minister Road will not be allowed towards the P.V.N.R Marg and will be diverted towards Karbala at Nallagutta Bridge.
At Buddha Bhavan: General traffic coming from Buddha Bhavan will not be allowed towards P.V.N.R Marg and will be diverted at Nallagutta crossroads towards Minister Road.
The police said traffic restrictions will be imposed depending on the traffic congestion of Ganesh idols for immersion at NTR Marg and People’s Plaza, P.V.N.R Marg on Necklace Road. The police urged citizens to take alternate routes to reach their destinations and cooperate with them.
