HYDRAA Chief's Security Man Tries to End Life

HYDRAA commissioner Ranganath visited the hospital, enquired about Chaitanya’s health, and instructed doctors to ensure the best possible treatment. He also assured the family members of support.

Hyderabad: The Hayathnagar police on Sunday said that an Armed Reserve constable, working as a security personnel for HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath, attempted to die by suicide at his residence in Munaganur. His health condition is said to be critical.

Hayathnagar inspector Nagaraju Goud identified the constable as Krishna Chaitanya belonging to the 2020 batch. The incident occurred around 6.30 am. Family members rushed Chaitanya to a hospital where doctors performed a surgery. “His condition is said to be critical and doctors have kept him under close medical supervision," the inspector said.

HYDRAA commissioner Ranganath visited the hospital, enquired about Chaitanya’s health, and instructed doctors to ensure the best possible treatment. He also assured the family members of support.

Ranganath stated that Chaitanya had not displayed any noticeable disturbance during work despite personal health issues in the past, including a blood clot condition for which he had been under treatment.

Ranganath in a statement stated that financial distress and personal problems may have driven Chaitanya to attempt the extreme step.

The constable reportedly suffered losses after investing in online betting and gaming apps about two years ago. He is believed to have taken multiple loans, resulting in a substantial portion of his salary being deducted every month, which only worsened his financial condition. Earlier, his father had filed a complaint with the Hayathnagar police when Chaitanya reportedly left home due to financial stress.
