Hyderabad Police Bust Fake Educational Certificates Racket; 4 Held

Prime accused Mujeeb was providing certificates to needy persons to secure visas and study abroad: Police

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police busted a fake educational certificates racket with the arrest of four persons including a software engineer in Mehdipatnam and seizure of 108 duplicate educational certificates and four mobile phones.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Mujeeb Hussain (54), an educational consultant and residence of Phoolbagh in Chandrayangutta, Mohammed Nasir Khan alias Nasir (26) an IT employee, and Zia-Ur-Rahman Siddiqui alias Zia (34), both residents of Tolichowki, and Mohd Al Baseer Rahmani alias Rahamani Mohammed AI Bassir (45) of Gudimalkapur.

While Mujeeb is the supplier of duplicate certificates, Baseer Rahmani and Zia-Ur-Rahman, both mediators, were supplying certificates to Nasir, the police said.

Task Force Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ande Srinivasa Rao said Mujeeb was running an educational consultancy and providing fake educational certificates to the needy persons for utilizing to secure visas and study abroad.

Mujeeb was also found to be supplying certificates for applying for jobs in MNCs. He was providing educational certificates to Nasir with the help of the mediator Baseer Rahmani and Zia-Ur-Rahman. It was found that Mujeeb Hussain was procuring certificates from absconding persons - Manoj Viswash of Kolkata, and Ravinder and Ajay, both natives of Uttar Pradesh and selling them to needy persons.
