Hyderabad: Major Fire Breaks Out at Furniture Godown in Gudimalkapur
Locals noticed thick flames emerging from the furniture godown and alerted the authorities.

Hyderabad: A fire that started at Sanaya Enterprises, wholesale dealers in plywood, in Moghal Ka Nala at Karwan, gutted four godowns nearby, police and fire services officials said on Sunday. There were no casualties.
V. Bhanu Pratap, assistant divisional fire officer of the High Court station, said a multi-purpose fire vehicle from the Langer Houz station and water bowsers from Rajendranagar and Gowliguda were deployed. A total of 22 firefighters doused the blaze, he said. Prompt action by the fire services personnel ensured that the blaze did not spread in the area which had tightly packed tin sheds. He said.
Gudimalkapur police brought in earthmovers to dump the debris away from the fire-hit sheds. Police registered a case and began inquiries to establish how the fire started. According to preliminary findings, a short circuit might have initiated the fire, police said.
