Hyderabad: Maid Flees With Gold In Jubilee Hills Apartment
“Our teams are going through CCTV footage and verifying the accused maid’s mobile tower locations to arrest her and recover the stolen ornaments”: Police

HYDERABAD: A woman, who identified herself as Fehmida Begum, posing as a domestic help robbed 40 tolas of gold from a businessman’s apartment in Jubilee Hills within three days of joining work, according to a complaint lodged with the police by Mohammed Tamim.
Tamim, a merchant residing at an apartment on Road No. 2, had advertised in a newspaper for a help. Two days later, he received a call from a woman identifying herself as Fehmida Begum, 55, of Yousufguda. She joined his household on April 7.
Tamim stated that the family left on April 9, leaving the suspect alone at home. When they returned on April 11, Fehmida had switched off her phone and disappeared.
On April 24, the family checked their locker and found jewellery missing: a gold necklace set with ruby and emerald stones, a diamond necklace set, a large gold necklace, a chain, six bangles, a bracelet and rings, all weighing 40 tolas.
Tamim lodged a complaint on April 25. Special teams, including detectives and fingerprint experts, inspected the house. “Our teams are going through CCTV footage and verifying the accused maid’s mobile tower locations to arrest her and recover the stolen ornaments,” a police officer said on Tuesday.
