Hyderabad: IMD Warns of Thunderstorms and Rise in Temperatures
Over the next two days, Hyderabad may see partly cloudy skies with chances of light rain or thundershowers in the evening or night. Temperatures could slightly rise, with maximum and minimum readings around 38°C and 25°C, respectively, and continued south-westerly winds at moderate speeds.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad and neighbouring districts witnessed light to moderate showers on Monday afternoon, offering brief respite from the ongoing heat. Isolated hailstorms in several districts, including Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jangaon, Khammam, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, Mulugu, and Suryapet, were reported to have caused damage.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), maximum temperatures are expected to rise over the next two days. A yellow alert has been issued for isolated rainfall across various parts of the state.
On Monday, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and winds gusting up to 40 km/h occurred in Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Nagarkurnool districts. The IMD forecasts similar conditions on Tuesday in Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, and Vikarabad.

Meanwhile, heatwave conditions are likely to intensify, particularly in northern Telangana districts, with temperatures ranging from 41°C to 44°C over the next five days. The IMD has issued a warning for extreme heat in these areas. Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam also recorded a rise in temperatures on Monday.
