Hyderabad: Five Held for Robbing Man of Rs 40K
The victim was asked to come at the designated spot, where he found that five people, who were waiting there, robbed him of Rs 40,000 at knifepoint.
Hyderabad: Five persons were arrested for allegedly robbing a man of Rs 40,000 near Gurvana Galli at Charminar, the Mirchowk police said on Wednesday.
According to police, the accused have been identified as Syed Fahad Ali, 22, Mohd Tauheed Uddin, 22, Syed Roumaan Ullah Hussaini, 21, Mohd Abdul Raouf, 22, and Mohd Shoaib Khan (20), all students.
The incident was known when a person, staying at Bahadurpura, filed a complaint with the police. The victim said that he was the user of GRINDR App, which is a free dating application for the LGBTQ community.
The victim was asked to come at the designated spot, where he found that five people, who were waiting there, robbed him of Rs 40,000 at knifepoint. A case was registered and after investigation, the accused were nabbed. The police also recovered Rs 18,500 cash, two-wheelers and mobile phones from their possession.
