Hyderabad: Fake IAS officer nabbed for entering Secretariat
Police arrested N. Balakrishna for posing as an IAS officer at the state secretariat, seizing fake documents; probe underway
Hyderabad: Secretariat police arrested a man, N. Balakrishna, who posing as an IAS officer, was reportedly entering the state secretariat.
Following the issuance of order by the secretariat chief security officer (CSO) Devidas, a police officer was asked to keep watch on the suspect. After the arrest of the fake IAS officer, the accused was handed over to Saifabad police for further probe.
It is reported that police also seized alleged appointment orders and other documents from the imposter.
Recently, a fake revenue employee and an MRO were detected by the secretariat staffers and the accused were arrested. The case is under investigation and detailes will be disclosed soon, a senior police officer said.
Secretariat police have been issued instructions to check the ID cards of suspected persons entering the Assembly premises, police sources said.
