Two bikes collide on service road at Batasingaram; lorry runs over student, two others seriously injured
Police said three female students were riding on one of the bikes when the collision caused them to fall onto the road.
Engineering student died in a road accident near Abdullapurmet on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Tuesday. The incident occurred at Batasingaram when two two-wheelers collided head-on on a service road.
Police said three female students were riding on one of the bikes when the collision caused them to fall onto the road. At the same time, a lorry passing alongside ran over one of the students, identified as Hamsalekha (22), killing her on the spot. She was a resident of Dilsukhnagar.
The other two students sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Their condition is reported to be serious.
The students were on their way to write an examination when the accident occurred. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
