Hyderabad: Consultancy Dupes Youths in Rs 5 Crore Overseas Job Scam
Police said the accused lured job seekers with overseas placements and collected around Rs 6 lakh from each candidate.

Hyderabad: A massive job fraud has come to light in Hafeezpet, after a consultancy firm allegedly cheated unemployed individuals with promises of jobs abroad and collected lakhs from each victim.
As per reports, three people- Archana Priya, Somasekhar, and Rajendra Prasad jointly operated a job consultancy firm in Hafeezpet, under Miyapur Police Station limits. Police said the accused lured job seekers with overseas placements and collected around Rs 6 lakh from each candidate. At least 90 people had reportedly paid money to them, which amounted to more than Rs 5 Crore.
The operators had taken several job seekers as far as Egypt, assuring them of employment in Egypt and Israel. On reaching Egypt, the accused stopped answering calls, forcing the victims to return to India at their own expense.
When the victims later visited the Hafeezpet office, they found it locked. Realising they had been defrauded, they approached the police. Based on the complaint, Miyapur police have registered a case and launched an investigation. All three are currently absconding, and special teams have reportedly begun search operations to trace them. Officials suspect the number of victims could be higher and are gathering details from affected candidates to verify the extent of the fraud.
