Hyderabad Constable Killed As Car Overturns In Khammam

Nalgonda: A 36-year-old police constable was killed and his wife and two children were injured when their car overturned on the Greenfield Highway at Ramanujavaram in Thallada mandal of Khammam district while the family was returning to Hyderabad after visiting a temple in Annavaram, police said on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Swarnakanti Jaswanth, a 2021-batch constable posted at Bolarum police station in Hyderabad. His wife Mounika, son Kalyan Ram, 4, and daughter Manya, 6, sustained injuries in the accident.
Police said the accident occurred when the car carrying the family overturned at Ramanujavaram. The family was returning to Hyderabad after having darshan at a temple in Annavaram in Andhra Pradesh.
The injured were shifted to a hospital in Khammam for treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable.
Thallada police shifted Jaswanth's body to the mortuary of the Government General Hospital for post-mortem examination.
