Hyderabad Collector Issues Show Cause Notice to Tahsildar

The absence of 10 employees came to light when Anudeep Durishetty made a surprise inspection

Hyderabad: Hyderabad district Collector Anudeep Durishetty here on Tuesday issued show cause notices to 10 government employees including Secunderabad Tahsildar E Pandu Naik for failing to attend duty without taking prior permission from the superior officer.

The absence of 10 employees came to light when Anudeep Durishetty made a surprise inspection to Tahsildar office in Secunderabad. On seeing that the employees were not seen in the office, he expressed anger against them.

He warned of departmental action against those who were not attending to duty without prior permission and at the same time he said that necessary action would be taken against those who failed to reach office on time.

Apart from Naik, nine other employees - K. Kiran Kumar, a surveyor, P. Prasanna Laxmi, an Assistant Revenue Inspector, BJ Paul, a Special Revenue Inspector (SRI), Shaik Mohinuddin, a SRI, G. Anusha, a Junior Assistant, M. Minesh, M. Pramod and B. Raja Shekar, all three are Record Assistant, B. Malathi, an Office Subordinate and another employee P. Satish got notices.

In the notice, Anudeep Durishetty said the unauthorized absence without prior permission was a serious violation of the Service and Conduct Rules, causing disruption in the smooth functioning of the office.

Further, such willful unauthorized absence amounts to misconduct, causing much inconvenience to the general public. He asked Naik and nine other employees to submit their explanation as to why disciplinary action should not be initiated against them as per CC&A Rules-1991, within three days, from the date of receipt of the notice, failing which, it will be construed that they have no explanation to offer and further action will be initiated against them basing on the material available on record.
