Hyderabad: Amit Shah’s Padayatra Route Changed
The rally is to be attended by BJP top leaders from the state, MPs and MLAs and thousands of admirers. Sources said the police would put in place a security dragnet and divert traffic away from the thoroughfare.
Hyderabad: The route of Union home minister Amit Shah's November 2 padayatra here was shifted on Thursday. On Monday, the rally will now start from the statue of Babu Jagjivan Ram at Nizam College and head to MJ Market, where he will address a public meeting. At the rally, to be held after the Congress’ rally in Delhi on Sunday, Shah is expected to give strong counter to the allegations of 'vote chori'.
According to party sources, the route was finalised on Thursday following deliberations. It was felt that the previous route, on Tank Bund, may not be able to support a big crowd. Partymen also explored other routes including from Afzalgunj to MJ Market before finalising the Babu Jagjivan Ram- MJ Market route.
The rally is to be attended by BJP top leaders from the state, MPs and MLAs and thousands of admirers. Sources said the police would put in place a security dragnet and divert traffic away from the thoroughfare.
