Hyderabad Airport Rolls Out Smart Kiosks

Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), part of the GMR Aero-led consortium, said it had unveiled 10 virtual information kiosks (VIK) and interactive terminal maps at the Shamshabad airport. The kiosks have been installed at check-in halls, boarding gates, arrivals and baggage claim areas. They provide passengers with real-time flight updates, 3D navigation, emergency support, Wi-Fi access for international travellers and instant feedback options.

In addition, GHIAL has launched interactive terminal maps on its official website (www.hyderabad.aero), providing insights into boarding gates, retail zones, dining options and essential amenities.

GHIAL CEO Pradeep Panicker said: “As we advance towards becoming a global aviation hub, these intelligent kiosks and enhanced digital maps represent a significant step forward in our digital transformation agenda to enhance passenger convenience.”

On offer is a smart flight management: Real-time updates via touchscreen or boarding pass scan; Wi-Fi Access providing passport-based login for international travellers; Advanced Navigation with 3D maps with QR code transfer to mobile devices; Emergency Integration with SOS alerts for medical, fire and security support; Passenger Feedback for instant input to improve services and digital maps Covering parking, arrivals, departures and service touchpoints
