Hyderabad Youtuber from Vizag Ends Life Over Relationship

Hyderabad: A 21‑year‑old BSc student and YouTuber died by suicide at her residence in Manikonda under Raidurgam police limits. The incident occurred on February 23 but came to light on Wednesday.

According to Raidurgam inspector Ch. Venkanna, the deceased, Komali, a native of Vizag, was living at her uncle’s house while studying at Malla Reddy University. Her mother works in Dubai and her father resides in Vizag.

Relatives found her dead when they returned home and informed her mother, who lodged a complaint. The body was shifted to Osmania mortuary for post‑mortem examination.

Police said Komali had reportedly been in a relationship with Akhil Reddy, a software employee from Vizag. While she expressed interest, he allegedly did not reciprocate. Two days before the incident, she contacted him and an argument broke out, during which he reportedly clarified he was not interested.

Inspector Venkanna noted that Komali had previously attempted suicide in Vizag and was rescued by her mother. No suicide note was recovered, but police found a handwritten letter written a day earlier, reportedly expressing her feelings for Akhil.

A case has been registered under Section 194 of the BNSS (suspicious death). “We are investigating. If evidence of harassment emerges, the FIR sections will be altered accordingly,” inspector Venkanna said.

Further investigation is underway.
