Hyderabad: ₹20,000 Fine Imposed on Jubilee Hills Hotel for Water Wastage
HMWS&SB officials imposed and collected a fine of ₹20,000 after detecting wastage of water for an unnecessary purpose at a hotel in Jubilee Hills.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) officials imposed and collected a fine of `20,000 after detecting wastage of water for an unnecessary purpose at a hotel in Jubilee Hills.
While travelling along the Jubilee Hills main road, HMWS&SB managing director K. Ashok Reddy noticed that the premises of Anaganaga hotel at Plot No. 775-G was being cleaned using excessive water, resulting in wastage.
The MD expressed concern over the wastage and said water is a valuable natural resource and should not be used indiscriminately for such purposes.
Following his directions, officials imposed a fine of `20,000.
