Hyderabad: Two engineering college students succumbed to injuries and two others injured after a speeding lorry rammed into a group of students in Ibrahimpatnam on Wednesday night.
According to the Ibrahimpatnam police, the accident occurred around 9.30 pm when five students were walking along the roadside back to their hostels after having dinner.

Police added that Harsha, 18, a first-year BTech (IT) student from Nizamabad, died on the spot. Shivaraj, 18, a native of Nirmal district, was critically injured succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. The two injured students were identified as Akshay and Kaumudi Reddy, both aged 18 and doing their first-year BTech Data Science and hailing from Karimnagar. Both were undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The lorry driver is identified as Buri Narayya, 50, from Nagole and a native of Andugula in Nalgonda district. Police registered a case and were are examining the circumstances leading to the crash, including the manner in which the vehicle was being driven and the sequence of events before the students were struck.
