Hyd: Food Safety Teams Find Expired Food, Hygiene Violations At Restaurants
Six enforcement teams of the Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE), comprising food safety officials and police personnel, conducted the special drive.

Hyderabad: Food safety officials found expired food items, spoiled vegetables, pest infestation and hygiene violations during inspections of seven restaurants in Hyderabad’s Core Urban Region. They include Chutneys, Spice 6 and Ohri’s, all loacated at Banjara Hills; The Spicy Venue of Jubilee Hills; 4 Seasons Multicuisine Restaurant and Shah Ghouse Restaurants at Tolichowki and Pista House Restaurant at Gachibowli
Six enforcement teams of the Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE), comprising food safety officials and police personnel, conducted the special drive.
Officials reported violations related to hygiene, food handling and storage, expired food articles, spoiled vegetables, pest infestation and non-compliance with food safety labelling and display regulations. During the inspections, officials lifted 11 food samples on suspicion of adulteration for further examination. TG SAFE issued four improvement notices and three show-cause notices to restaurants where violations were detected.
