Hussainsagar Nearly Full, Officials Watchful

Officials are keeping a close watch as the lake inched towards its maximum water level (MWL) of 514.75 metres

The water level at the Hussainsagar lake rose to 513.38 metres, just a few centimetres below the full tank level (FTL) of 513.41 metres, at 5 pm on Friday, officials said.

Officials were keeping a close watch as the lake inched towards its maximum water level (MWL) of 514.75 metres. With more rain forecast, authorities may initiate measures to prevent overflow into adjoining roads and localities, particularly around Necklace Road, PVNR Marg and locations downstream of Tank Bund.
