Husband Arun allegedly called his wife Nisharani for a talk at dawn before shooting her; police probe reveals prior arms-related case.
Malkajgiri: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly shot his wife dead in Malkajgiri in the early hours of Wednesday following ongoing marital disputes. The accused, identified as Arun, is said to have called his wife Nisharani under the pretext of discussing their issues before opening fire on her.
According to preliminary information, the couple had been facing frequent conflicts for some time. On Wednesday morning, Arun reportedly asked Nisharani to meet him for a conversation, which escalated into an argument. During the altercation, he allegedly used a firearm to shoot her, leading to her death on the spot.
Police suspect the involvement of another individual who may have assisted Arun in carrying out the crime. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accomplice.
Investigations have also revealed that Arun was previously caught by the Amberpet police around three months ago while allegedly transporting firearms on a two-wheeler. Authorities are now examining whether that case has any connection to the present incident.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is in progress.
