HRF Flags Irregularities in Tomcom’s Germany Job Drive; Demands Probe into ₹4.10 Lakh Fee and Fake Roles
The forum demanded justice for those affected, direct agreements between Tomcom and candidates, and jobs matching the brochure.

Hyderabad:The Human Rights Forum (HRF) has demanded action over alleged irregularities in Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Limited’s (Tomcom) recruitment programme for jobs in Germany. They claimed that candidates were charged `4.10 lakh by a private firm, received poor training and were directed towards work unrelated to the advertised positions.
HRF said it had spoken with the affected candidates on October 31. The forum said Tomcom, a state government undertaking, had circulated a brochure offering opportunities in mechatronics and electronics. Applicants trusted the organisation and were told that candidates from earlier batches had secured jobs in Germany.
According to the forum, Uttar Pradesh-based Fairstreet India Private Limited entered the process around the start of German language training. Two weeks into classes, candidates were asked to sign agreements with the private firm and pay `4,10,400. Admission letters also came from Fairstreet.
HRF alleged that poor training left many candidates unable to pass their examinations. Those who passed were instead directed towards jobs in garbage collection and animal slaughterhouses, it said. The forum claimed that Tomcom had failed to answer candidates' questions.
The forum demanded justice for those affected, direct agreements between Tomcom and candidates, and jobs matching the brochure. It also sought action from the labour minister, who chairs TOMCOM, and publication of agreements with private agencies, alongside batch-wise enrolment and placement figures.
