House listing for Census 2027 begins in CURE region
Hyderabad:House Listing Operations for Census 2027 started in the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) on Wednesday, with field enumeration underway from May 11 to June 9.
Officials said identification of buildings and Census Houses within each House Listing Block has been completed, following which enumerators began visiting allotted households.
Enumerators collected responses to 33 questions and uploaded data through the official Census portal se.census.gov.in using mobile devices. With limited participation in online self-enumeration, most data is being captured through field visits.
Around 1.27 lakh households in the CURE region completed self-enumeration online. In such cases, enumerators verified the submitted details and updated records where required.
Field teams were accompanied by Municipal Corporation staff and carried special identity cards with QR codes.
Officials said residents raised queries during the exercise, and enumerators clarified that the information collected would remain confidential and would not be used for taxation or eligibility for government schemes.
Completed households were marked with identification codes such as CN, CN (1) and CN (2), indicating Census enumeration and serial number of the house in the enumerators’ list.
