Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) received eight Gold Garden awards and a rolling trophy for best landscape garden at the Garden Festival organised by the horticulture department at the Public Garden. The trophy was presented by horticulture director Shaik Yasmeen Basha and accepted by senior horticulture officer Sainath Sunkara on behalf of HMRL.
Managing director N.V.S. Reddy attributed the achievement to the extensive greenery at stations and rooftop gardens, noting that HMRL has maintained its award-winning record for six years. He highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance green cover under viaducts and along all Metro Rail corridors.
