HMRL Plans To Enhance Passenger Services; AMD Inspects Metro Stations

HYDERABAD: Additional managing director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited, B. Ajith Reddy, conducted field inspection of Metro stations on Monday, based on the HMRL plans to enhance passenger services.

He travelled by metro, inspected the stations, nearby street-level facilities and visited platforms and concourses at Begumpet, Ameerpet and Raidurg stations.
Ajith Reddy also interacted with metro engineers and officials of Keolis, the operations partner, to understand the facilities being provided to passengers. He suggested improvements, reviewed cleanliness and sanitation practices near the stations.
Ajith Reddy pointed out that central meridian maintenance between pillars needs further improvement and expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the agencies responsible.
He instructed officials to prepare station-specific plans to further enhance facilities. As a pilot initiative, ten metro stations will be selected for immediate development. During his visit, he also reviewed parking arrangements and security measures.
