Himayat Sagar Continues Water Release as Inflows Decline

Hyderabad: The HMWS&SB continued releasing water from the Himayatsagar reservoir on Tuesday following recent rain fall in the catchment areas. The Himayatsagar was receiving 150 cusecs of water, and officials were releasing 651 cusecs downstream.

Water stood at 1,761.70 ft against its full reservoir level (FRL) of 1,763.5 ft, with a storage at 2.26 tmc ft out of its total capacity of 2.521 tmc ft.

The Osmansagar recorded no inflows or outflows and water stood at 1,784.05 ft against an FRL of 1,790 ft, with storage of 2.361 tmc ft out of its full capacity of 3.518 tmc ft.
