Ponguleti Apologises, Forms Panel to Resolve 22A Issues
The minister directed the officials to provide clear reasons for the cases where registration cannot be processed.

Hyderabad: Revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Monday apologised to the people for the hardships caused by administrative oversights and announced the formation of a high-level committee to resolve issues related to ‘Section 22-A prohibited lands’ in the state.
Briefing the media after conducting a review meeting at the Secretariat he said that instructions have been issued to resolve all ‘22-A’ applications across all districts by the end of August. A toll-free number (1800 5994788) has also been set up and anyone submitting a grievance will receive a response within three days and appropriate measures for resolution will be taken.
The minister directed the officials to provide clear reasons for the cases where registration cannot be processed. He further directed the officials to refund registration fees in case applicants have already paid.
The minister stated that a comprehensive report would be prepared regarding Bhoodan lands in the state, covering pending issues, disputes and potential solutions. He assured that genuine landowners would not face any injustice regarding the classification of lands as prohibited.
