Helpdesks Established in All Districts for SIR

The Telangana Chief Electoral Officer will be deploying trained staff at the helpdesks so that electors can conveniently access and link their details with the records available in the last SIR.

Hyderabad:Helpdesks are being established at all districts for the upcoming special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral roll from June 25. The helpdesks will facilitate easy access to electoral services and ensure inclusion of all eligible citizens, particularly PwD, migrants and elderly electors.

The Telangana Chief Electoral Officer will be deploying trained staff at the helpdesks so that electors can conveniently access and link their details with the records available in the last SIR.

These helpdesks will provide information on SIR timelines, eligibility and documents required for registration, correction or deletion. It will also facilitate voters in searching or linking with the previous or last SIR records and also assist electors in filling up and submission of enumeration forms both online and offline.

“Besides, these will facilitate migrant electors in identifying their current and previous assembly constituencies, ensuring their registration at the correct place. It will also display information, education and communication materials in local languages for awareness,” informed CEO C. Sudharshan Reddy.

Partwise electoral roll data in PDF is also hosted in the site and voters knowing their polling station can search their names in the PDF also. “The printed hard copy of electoral roll of SIR, 2002 is available with the BLOs and they will assist to find out the names,” officials added.
