Heavy Rainfall Expected in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana This Week

The impact of a Low Pressure Area over Bay of Bengal is expected to be seen across Telangana from Wednesday.

Hyderabad: The influence of El Niño, which often affects the Indian monsoon, resulted in less rainfall in several regions this year. According to the reports, weather conditions are expected to change in the coming days, with forecasts predicting heavy rainfall over the next seven days in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to be seen in AP and TG, while gusty winds with speeds of 40–60 kmph are also expected in some areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The impact of a Low Pressure Area over Bay of Bengal is expected to be seen across Telangana from Wednesday. According to the reports, a fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal on July 3, as a result, heavy rains are predicted across the two Telugu states.

Authorities have been instructed to remain on alert and take precautionary measures in low-lying areas to prevent flooding and waterlogging. The Meteorological Department has advised the state governments to take all necessary action needed.

According to the Telangana Weatherman report, heavy rainfall is expected in Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Jagtial, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Nirmal, Nizamabad,Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu districts from late afternoon until overnight.
