Health Minister Assures NIMS Nurses on Demands
Following the minister’s assurance, the nurses union decided to temporarily defer the intensified agitation programmes that were scheduled to begin on Wednesday

Hyderabad:The Nims Nurses Union on Wednesday held discussions with health minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, who assured that all genuine demands raised by the union had been agreed to in principle.
According to the union, the minister said some of the related files had already been forwarded to the concerned departments, while the remaining process would be completed and formal orders issued within the next two to three days. The assurances were given in the presence of the director of Nims and the medical superintendent.
Following the minister’s assurance, the nurses union decided to temporarily defer the intensified agitation programmes that were scheduled to begin on Wednesday. However, the union clarified that until written orders are issued, nursing staff will continue to report for duty while staging a silent and peaceful protest by wearing black badges.

Hyderabad:A 21-year-old driver who was crossing railway tracks while listening to music with ear pods was knocked down by an MMTS train on Tuesday. The victim, identified as Mohammed Farhan, was crossing the tracks between Falaknuma and Uppuguda stations with headphones on, when the MMTS train hit him, said a Kachiguda GRP official. Farhan, a resident of Fateshanagar Edi Bazaar was returning home after completing his duty when the mishap occurred, police said.
Case against Insomnia Pub
Jubilee Hills police on Wednesday booked a case against the management of Insomnia Pub for operating beyond the permitted time limit.
According to the Jubilee Hills SHO K. Venkateshwar Reddy, a patrolling team noticed a gathering at around 12.05 am. The officers later found that the establishment was functioning past the permitted closing time. Cases were registered under Sections 21 and 76 of the HCP Act and Section 223 of the BNS in Crime No. 738 of 2025 against the pub management, including manager Shafi and owner Kunal, Reddy
