Health Key to Academic Success, Says SP at Medical Camp

The camp offered general health check-ups, eye examinations and free medicines to a large number of students

Karimnagar: Physical and mental health form the foundation for academic success, district superintendent of police Mahesh B. Gite said after inaugurating a free mega medical camp organised by the police department in collaboration with Sri Tirumala Nursing Home for students at the ZPHS school in Mustabad of Rajanna Sircilla district on Wednesday.

The camp offered general health check-ups, eye examinations and free medicines to a large number of students. Addressing the gathering, the SP noted that many students suffer from anaemia and vision-related problems, and urged them to prioritise their health through regular medical check ups. He encouraged students to set high goals, maintain discipline and work consistently to achieve success in life.

SP Gite also cautioned students against cyber threats, including suspicious links, fake social media profiles and AI-generated video scams. He advised them never to share personal information with strangers online and to immediately report any suspicious activity to their parents, teachers or the police. Highlighting the importance of the ‘Golden Hour’ in cyber fraud cases, the SP explained that victims who report online cheating promptly by calling the National Cyber Helpline at 1930 stand a better chance of recovering lost money.

The medical camp received an overwhelming response, with specialists from various fields providing consultations. The SP thanked the management of Sri Tirumala Nursing Home and the staff of Surabhi Institute of Medical Sciences for their support. The event was attended by CI Mogili, SI Ganesh, local doctors and school faculty members.
