Hyderabad:Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari lauded the Hyderabad police for their dedication. “Sports not only build physical fitness but also mental strength. Such programmes should be encouraged,” she said, speaking to the conclusion of the city police sports meet here on Thursday.
The Chief Secretary, police commissioner C.V. Anand and his wife Lalita Anand presented trophies and medals to the winners. In the four-day competition, the CAR Headquarters team secured first place, while the CSW-Task Force teams came second.
Anand commended the competitive spirit and sportsmanship displayed by the personnel, highlighting the role of sports in boosting willpower and confidence. He thanked the officers and participants for making the event a success.
Approximately 2,000 personnel from all 14 units of the police participated in the event.
Senior officers, including additional CP (law and order) Vikram Singh Mann, his wife Nanditha Mann, additional CP (traffic) P. Vishwa Prasad, and joint CP (admin) Parimala Hana Nutan were also present. Upcoming state championships were announced to follow soon.
