HYDERABAD: Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao slammed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy accusing him of hate speech against former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, and said by doing so, “Revanth Reddy exposed his deep-seated hatred and animosity towards Chandrashekar Rao and gave a live demonstration of what hate speech is like.”
In a statement, Harish Rao said, “The Chief Minister indulged in spewing hate speech minutes after Justice Sudharshan Reddy made a point in his speech how this has no place in the society, spoke volumes of Revnath Reddy’s way of thinking.”
If anyone seeks to understand what hate speech sounds like, all they have to do is listen to Revanth Reddy’s comments today, Harish Rao said. “His hatred and poisonous animosity towards Chandrashekar Rao was visible for all. One hoped that his fews days at Harvard would have helped him change his attitude but clearly, he has not,” Harish Rao said.
Revanth Reddy, Harish Rao said, has no clue of the struggle of the people who fought for statehood, or the reverence people have for Chandrashekar Rao. For someone using power to unleash political vendetta at opposition leaders, Revanth Reddy certainly has no right to speak about abuse of power,” Harish Rao added.
