Harish Said BRS Will Raise OPS and Other Congress Promises in TG Assembly
He demanded the abolition of CPS, saying implementation of OPS is not an unreasonable demand.
Siddipet:BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T. Harish Rao declared that Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi will question the Congress government over implementing OPS, the Old Pension Scheme.
“If necessary, we will stall the State Legislative Assembly in order to raise our voice on behalf of CPS (Contributory Pension Scheme) employees. BRS party will stand with you,” told the Jana Chaitanya Yatra taken out by the CPS employees Siddipet on Thursday.
Addressing a meeting organised on the occasion, Harish Rao asked whether Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has buried the Congress manifesto after 32 months of his rule. “Where are the OPS and PRC that you promised to implement within six months after coming to power,” the BRSLP leader asked.

Further, Harish Rao demanded an apology from Revanth Reddy for allegedly commenting that engineering students are “criminal waste.” He further charged that illegal ACB and CID cases are being filed against those who raise their voices against the Congress government. He maintained that the government does not have money to even buy chalk pieces for schools or to pay salaries to scavengers.
“As Education minister, Revanth Reddy has been a complete failure,” Harish Rao stated, recalling that before the elections, the Congress had promised implementation of PRC within six months, release all pending dearness allowances (DAs), introduction of an excellent Employee Health Scheme (EHS), and restoration of the OPS.
The BRSLP leader pointed out that the Congress even included all these promises in its manifesto to gain people’s trust.
