Harish Rao Slams Rahul for Selective Politics on UoH Issues

Rahul Gandhi has “tears flowing still over the 2016 UoH incident of Rohith Vemula’s death, but with respect to 2025, all he has is silence,” Harish Rao said referring to the Congress leader’s reluctance to make any comment on the Kancha Gachibowli land issue.

Hyderabad: BRS leader T Harish Rao on Monday questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on his allegedly selective responses to issues surrounding the University of Hyderabad, in particular the Kancha Gachibowli land.

He was referring to a letter from Rahul Gandhi urging Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to enact a ‘Rohith Vemula Act’ to prevent discrimination of students from Dalit, OBCs and Adivasi communities. Harish Rao, asked if the letter to Revanth Reddy is a result of “selective memory” or part of “selective politics” on Rahul Gandhi’s part.
