Harish Rao Hails Siddipet Native Uday Nagaraju’s Election to UK House of Lords
A civic felicitation was held at Vipanchi Kala Nilayam in Siddipet on Wednesday to honour Uday Nagaraju.

Siddipet:Former minister and BRS deputy floor leader T. Harish Rao said the election of Siddipet native Uday Nagaraju to the UK House of Lords was a matter of pride for Indians and Telugu-speaking people.
A civic felicitation was held at Vipanchi Kala Nilayam in Siddipet on Wednesday to honour Uday Nagaraju.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said Uday had risen from Telangana and earned distinction in the United Kingdom. He said Uday was the first person from the two Telugu-speaking states to be elected to the British Parliament and that becoming a member of the UK legislature at the age of 47 was a matter of pride for all Indians.
Harish Rao said Uday’s journey from a small rural village to the British Parliament reflected his hard work and determination. He described his life as an example of what could be achieved through perseverance and urged young people to draw inspiration from him.
He said every individual had extraordinary potential and that dedication and effort could help achieve one’s goals.
Harish Rao said Uday had actively supported the Telangana statehood movement from London while people were participating in the movement in Telangana and had contributed to the cause of his motherland.
