Harish Alleges Widespread Discontent Under Congress Rule

Senior Congress leader Suprabhath Rao of Ramayampet, along with his followers, joined the BRS on Friday.

Medak: Former minister and Deputy Floor Leader T. Harish Rao said there is growing dissatisfaction with Congress rule in the state, not only among the public but also within the party itself. He alleged that during Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s two years in office, nothing substantial has been done for the people and that the government has failed to fulfil its promises. He claimed that senior leaders and long-time Congress loyalists are leaving the party and joining the BRS. He urged party leaders and workers to take the failures of the Congress and the development carried out by the BRS to the people.

Senior Congress leader Suprabhath Rao of Ramayampet, along with his followers, joined the BRS on Friday. Harish Rao welcomed him into the party in the presence of former Medak MLA Padma Devender Reddy and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said towns that once flourished with greenery, cleanliness and improved civic facilities have deteriorated under Congress rule due to lack of funds and poor maintenance. He alleged that since the Congress came to power, development has come to a standstill and issues related to drinking water and sanitation have resurfaced.

He further alleged that the Chief Minister has failed to fulfil even a single promise made to the people and that, in the name of six guarantees and 420 promises, all sections of society have been misled. Harish Rao said people are closely watching the Congress government’s failures and expressed confidence that the BRS would achieve a clean sweep in the upcoming municipal elections in the united Medak district.
