H-Fast Team Seizes 120 Tonnes Of Chicken Waste In Hyderabad

Police noted that it is harmful for humans to consume fish that have fed on untreated poultry waste.

Hyderabad: A team of Hyderabad Food Adulteration and Surveillance Team (H-FAST) police officials on Monday seized 9 lorries transporting 120 tons of poultry waste material in the city as part of its operations against food adulteration and unsafe food practices. The task force officials noted that the chicken waste was being used for feeding fish in lakes as a source of food.

As per the H-Fast officials, the vehicles carrying chicken waste, which were supposed to be sent to the rendering plant in the GHMC limits, have been diverted to aquaculture farms in Guntur, Vinukonda, Addanki, and Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh.

Police noted that it is harmful for humans to consume fish that have fed on untreated poultry waste.
