Gym Owner Supplying Steroids To Clients Held

ADILABAD: Police seized 20 ml of a banned drug, 36 steroid tablets and three injectable vials from Lion Fitness Gym near Vinayak Chowk in Adilabad town on Friday. According to Adilabad DSP L. Jeevan Reddy, investigators had received credible information that the gym’s owner, Sheikh Adil, was using the substances himself and supplying steroids to members. During the search, officers recovered a 20 ml AMC injection bottle, three other injectable drugs and 36 steroid tablets. Sheikh Adil has been booked under Section 125 BNS(B) of the DCA Act, and the gym’s municipal trade licence has been revoked. Tahsildar Srinivas Rao, One Town inspector B. Suneel Kumar and municipal staff were present during the seizure.
