Gulf Returnee Killed by Wife, Lover in Nizamabad

Karimnagar:A woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover and another person in Nyakal of Mopal mandal in Nizamabad district to continue her affair, police said.
The accused, Daini Sandhya, allegedly killed her husband Prashanth after he returned home from Gulf countries on June 27, where he had gone for work.
Mopal sub-inspector Susmitha said Sandhya was in a relationship with Anil of Indrapur in Nizamabad and planned the murder with him and Venkatasai.
According to police, Venkatasai went to Prashanth’s house on June 29, gave him liquor and took him to the terrace. On a signal from Sandhya, he allegedly pushed Prashanth from the building, causing injuries.
To avoid suspicion, Sandhya, Anil and Venkatasai took Prashanth to a wellness centre at a government hospital and brought him back home after treatment.
Later, Sandhya, with Anil’s help, allegedly injected Prashanth through a cannula with a liquid mixed with sedatives, tablets and toilet cleaner. Prashanth’s condition deteriorated and he died on June 30.
After Prashanth’s mother Shyamala lodged a complaint, Mopal police took Sandhya into custody. Police said she confessed during questioning. Sandhya, Anil and Venkatasai were arrested.
