Hyderabad: One held for selling ganja chocolates

Hyderabad: Based on a tip-off, the Cyberabad Special Operations Team, along with the Jagadgirigutta police, arrested one person for allegedly selling ganja-laced chocolates at his kirana store in the Jagadgirigutta police station area on Wednesday evening. Around 2,400 ganja-laced chocolates worth `46,000 were recovered from the accused.
According to Jagadgirigutta inspector K. Narasimha, the accused was identified as Suresh Kumar Jha, a native of Bihar, residing at Ring Basti in Jagadgirigutta for the past 25 years.
Suresh was reportedly procuring the chocolates from one Hari Ram, a resident of Bihar, currently at large. Hari Ram was earlier residing in the same area and grew fond of Suresh. Last week, Hari Ram visited the city with the contraband and sold it to the accused.
The accused has been selling these chacolates for the past one week, the police said. A case was registered under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.
