Grey Heron Spotted Near Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: A bird was sighted near the Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar on Monday. Its scientific name is Ardea cinerea, commonly known as the Grey Heron, and the Telugu name is Narayana Pakshi according to Kirmana, head of the Zoology Department at Karimnagar Essarar Degree and PG College. The bird, with black and grey wings, long legs, and a pointed beak, is widely found in Europe, Asia, and Africa. It typically inhabits wetlands, rivers, and lake coastal areas.
