Grand Bonalu Celebrations Held in Sangareddy

Sangareddy: Bonalu celebrations organised by the Goud community were held with traditional fervour in Sadashivpet and Sangareddy towns on Tuesday.
District Congress Committee president T. Nirmala Jaggareddy attended the festivities as the chief guest and offered special prayers to the presiding deities.
She first visited the Durgamma temple in Sadashivpet, where she performed special rituals, and later participated in the Bonalu celebrations organised by the Goud community. TPCC general secretary Topaji Ananth Kishan, CDC chairman Ram Reddy, municipal vice-chairperson Renuka Chiru, councillor Nagaraju Goud, Srinivas Goud and other leaders attended the programme.
Later, Nirmala Jaggareddy participated in the Bonalu celebrations in Sangareddy town. The procession featured traditional performances by Potharajus, while a decorated offering cart adorned with sheep attracted devotees and visitors.
Prominent Jogini Nisha Kranti also participated in the celebrations, carrying a Bonam as part of the traditional ritual.
