GP Candidates Going All Out To Win
In Nalgonda district, a candidate of the first ward in Ajilapur of Marriguda mandal, Megavat Kavathi, distributed half a litre of milk and two eggs to each house and promised to do the same daily for the next five years if she’s elected as their ward member.

Nalgonda: Candidates in the gram panchayat polls are holding out promises in novel ways to get maximum votes and win the elected representative slots in their villages.
In Nalgonda district, a candidate of the first ward in Ajilapur of Marriguda mandal, Megavat Kavathi, distributed half a litre of milk and two eggs to each house and promised to do the same daily for the next five years if she’s elected as their ward member.
She asked the voters to consume milk and eggs daily and stay healthy. Kavathi owned buffalos and had a habit of sharing a part of her animal farm's milk with her neighbours.
Interestingly, an independent sapranch candidate of Chandanapally grama panchayat Paladugu Sai Kumar, promised the people to conduct a job mela with national and international level companies to provide jobs in corporate companies.
A candidate of the fifth ward in Vangamarthy grama panchayat distributed one kilo of mutton to each house, seeking their votes.
In Suyapet district, an independent candidate for sarpanch poll in Gudi Thanda ,Gugulothu Jaipal Naik came out with his “16 guarantees” and made them viral in social media groups of the village. He made the promise by signing a bond paper, committing himself to implement these if he wins the poll.
A sarpanch candidate of Thonda of Tirumalgiri mandal, who got chair symbol, distributed plastic chairs to all the families in the village.
