Govt Takes Note Of MGM Hospital Ceiling Collapse

WARANGAL: The state government has taken note of Sunday’s ceiling collapse in the Aarogyasri ward of MGM Hospital, which left patients and attendants injured.
DME Dr N. Vani and collector Dr Satya Sarada inspected the hospital on Monday and directed officials to take immediate measures to ensure patient safety.
Dr Vani expressed concern over the incident and warned doctors and staff against negligence. She said a nodal officer would be appointed at MGM Hospital and directed officials to restore X-ray and scanning services on a war footing.
She said the government was committed to providing better healthcare to poor patients and ensuring that such incidents did not recur. Dr Vani also said work on the new Warangal Super Specialty Hospital was being expedited and that it would be made available in October.
Collector Satya Sarada said all necessary steps were being taken to provide better medical services to patients. MGM Hospital superintendent Dr Ram Kumar Reddy and other officials were present.
