Govt Revamps HGCL Board With 10 Members

The Telangana government has reconstituted the board of directors of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) with 10 members,

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has reconstituted the board of directors of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) with 10 members, including the commissioners of all three municipal corporations in the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area and the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) Commissioner.

The Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) special chief secretary will be the chairman of the board, while the HMDA metropolitan commissioner will be vice-chairman and the HGCL managing director will continue as managing director.

According to the MA & UD department, the board was strengthened and reconstituted by including line departments and stakeholders in view of the scale and magnitude of works handled by HGCL.

The reconstitution is aimed at ensuring effective coordination, integrated implementation and holistic planning of projects, besides facilitating land acquisition and timely completion of infrastructure projects.

The commissioners of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC), along with the managing directors of HMWS&SB, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) and Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML), and the HYDRAA commissioner will serve as nominee directors.
