The Telangana government has directed all state offices to switch exclusively to T-Fiber internet services from Sept. 1, ending payments to private operators.
IT and industries minister Sridhar Babu has directed all government offices across the state to use internet services exclusively through T‑Fiber from September 1, ending payments to private operators for such connectivity.
Speaking at a review meeting on T‑Fiber at the Secretariat, the minister instructed officials to ensure internet connectivity is provided to all government offices within the stipulated deadline and that no further payments are made to private operators after September 1.
The meeting was attended by chief secretary Sanjay Jaju, joint secretary (Ministry of Electronics & IT) Anudeep Durishetty and T‑Fiber managing director Venu Prasad. Sridhar Babu directed officials to complete migration of the Telangana State Wide Area Network (T‑SWAN) to T‑Fiber within one month, consolidating the state’s core government network onto its own fibre infrastructure.
He also instructed officials to make comprehensive arrangements to ensure full‑fledged T‑Fiber connectivity for the Future City project, a key initiative in the state’s emerging technology corridor. The minister asked officials to accelerate implementation of the flagship “Internet to Every Home” initiative to expand last‑mile fibre connectivity to households across Telangana.
